1. Clean cutting boards
Lemon works wonders to eliminate germs on wooden cutting surfaces. Simply rub the board with half a lemon and let it sit overnight. Then, clean with a moistened cloth and mild soap. It will help remove stains and bacteria.
2. Eliminate microwave and refrigerator odors
Clean your microwave effectively with lemon! Add lemon to water in a bowl, and heat up for 2 minutes. Dried food splatters will be easier to wash off with a sponge or cloth. Goodbye old food smells!
For your refrigerator, you can place a bowl with lemon juice on the bottom shelf. This help eliminate any unpleasant odors.
3. Make your windows shine
To remove fingerprints and dirt, spray the glass with a mixture of 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, ½ cup of white vinegar and ¼ of hot water. Rub and wipe!
4. Remove clothing stains
Do you have any grease or deodorant stains on your clothes? Nothing is easier to eliminate by applying a little lemon juice. Rub the stain and let stand overnight. Then wash your clothe as usual.
For white clothes, add 1/2 cup of lemon juice directly into your washing machine along with your usual detergent.
5. Fight off limestone residues
Thanks to its acidic power, lemon is ideal for descaling surfaces stained with limestone. Rub half a lemon on the surface, let stand for about thirty minutes and rinse off. Voilà!
